Chicago O’Hare International Airport is the largest commercial-service airport serving Chicago and the surrounding region. Its primary facilities consist of the airfield, terminal area, rental car facilities, air cargo areas, maintenance/airport support
areas, and surface access/parking areas. The airfield consists of eight active runways; the terminal area consists of four terminal buildings with a total of 189 gates.
